The Berlin Marathon
Every year at the end of September, the capital is dominated by one of the biggest running events in the world: the Berlin Marathon. Over 40,000 participants take part in the Berlin Marathon every year. They come from around 120 countries, and the crowd of participants and spectators is correspondingly international and colorful.

Streetfood Thursday
Every Thursday, the so-called “Streetfood Thursday” takes place in Kreuzberg. In the Markthalle Neun there are specialties from all over the world from 17-22 clock, for which it is worth to stop by.

Carneval of Cultures

The colorful facets of Berlin are celebrated annually in May with the unique Carnival of Cultures. Numerous groups of different nationalities perform music, dance, performance, visual arts and acrobatics on moving floats.

The capital has some famous sights such as the Brandenburg Gate or the Victory Column, which you can visit wonderfully together, as they are very close to each other. We also recommend you to visit the Reichstag building, Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall. To miss the Berlin TV Tower is almost impossible with its size. But also a stop at the Charlottenburg Palace and the Berlin Cathedral is worthwhile.

There are also some interesting museums and exhibitions in Berlin, the Museum Island in Berlin Mitte are very popular with various exhibitions on art and culture. Likewise, the DDR Museum and the German Museum of Technology are popular places for culture enthusiasts. The Illuseum is located in a former school building from the 19th century and deals with various illusions and optical illusion. Fun for the whole family is preprogrammed here. The Black Hole exhibition in Berlin Schöneberg offers a journey through various audiovisual artworks that address modern society. Candlelight concerts are another highlight.
